Graduate Employment

TRUenergy is committed to providing tertiary students from a range of disciplines a head start in their career.  By recruiting graduates with relevant qualifications and abilities, we develop both your future and our longer term business needs.

Corporate Head Office

We are currently reviewing our requirements for a corporate graduate program for 2007. We have run very successful company wide programs in the past which have provided outstanding career opportunities for graduates in commerce, accounting, engineering, mathematics/statistics, IT and business (including HR and marketing). Even without a formal program in place, we will continue to provide entry-level opportunities to graduates to kick-start their career in real roles with real responsibilities.

Keep an eye on our Current Vacancies page and SEEK for job vacancy details or send your CV and cover letter to express your interest to – careers@truenergy.com.au.

At our generation sites it is a different story. Each year, we source and select students who have a genuine desire to work within the Energy sector to participate in our Student Vacation and Undergraduate programs.

To gain the maximum benefit from these programs, you will thrive in a team environment and be able to apply your studies in a practical way. We design real ‘hands on’ work assignments for each student and assign a mentor to ensure that you learn in a supportive environment.

If you are excited by the challenge of working in an environment where you will be expected to make things happen from day one then TRUenergy could be the place for you.

Yallourn Student Vacation program

This Program runs for 12 weeks during the summer, from November through to February and coincides with the University summer vacation period.  Applications are sought from August and enquiries can be emailed to yallourncareers@truenergy.com.au.

Iona Gas Plant Vacation Employment Program

TRUenergy Gas Storage Vacation Employment Program is a 3 months program commencing in December through to February and caters for final year engineering students in the fields of Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. It is based at the Iona Gas Plant, located in Port Campbell, Victoria.
